AUSTIN—Weitzman has been selected to handle retail leasing for The Grove at Shoal Creek, a major mixed-use project now under way at a 76-acre site located at the Central Austin intersection of 45th and Bull Creek.
Matt Epple, Britt Morrison and Brett Maze with Weitzman are handling the retail leasing for The Grove. Upon completion, the project will incorporate approximately 140,000 square feet of retail space.
“The Grove is fast becoming one of the finest upscale communities in Austin, and we’re already in conversations with retailers and restaurants who understand the power of the location,” said Epple, executive vice president and director of brokerage for Weitzman in Austin.
The Grove, with a strong residential and commercial location that offers easy access to MOPAC, the Burnet and Lamar corridors and more, will feature approximately 1,550 residential units that include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and apartments. The Grove also includes 185,000 square feet of recently completed Class A office space. The office space has been leased to key companies like Auctane LLC, a firm that operates several e-commerce shipping software brands including ShipStation. At the Grove, ShipStation will occupy more than 105,000 square feet, with an occupancy date of May 1, 2021.
Due to its strong residential and office component, retail concepts already signed at The Grove cover the fitness, service and convenience categories. They include Regymen Fitness, which leased 4,339 square feet; The Market at the Grove, which leased 4,204 square feet; and Maque Nail Salon, which leased 3,948 square feet.
To date, construction at The Grove has been initiated on approximately 200 residences, including condominiums, townhouses and single-family homes, and more than 150 owners are already living at The Grove. An apartment complex, Korina at The Grove, is currently open for leasing for its 373 unit with world-class amenities.
The Grove is designed as a walkable community, with extensive greenspace and amenities. These include a signature community park, pocket parks, more than two miles of hike-and-bike trails, the extension of the Shoal Creek Trail to downtown, natural ponds and water features, an outdoor ‘living room event plaza’, an amphitheatre, a Grand Paseo, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, the preservation of centuries-old heritage oaks an more.
The Grove’s developer is ARG Bull Creek Ltd., a joint venture between MileStone Community Builders, for the residential portion, and Castletop Capital, which is handling the mixed-use portion of The Grove.
