AUSTIN—Weitzman has been named to direct project leasing at the recently redeveloped specialty center, The Crescent. The approximately 116,000-square-foot center is located at Airport Boulevard and North Lamar Boulevard in North Central Austin and is anchored by specialty grocer 99 Ranch Market.
Britt Morrison, Brett Maze and Cameron Longmire with Weitzman are now handling project leasing for The Crescent.
The center’s anchor, the Asian supermarket chain 99 Ranch Market, opened its first Austin location in The Crescent in March in an approximately 33,000-square-foot store. The store, one of six in Texas and nearly 50 nationwide, is named by 99 Ranch Market as its flagship store for Texas. Adjacent to the grocery store is 99 Ranch Liquor.
The center’s line-up also the first Austin location of Taiwan’s most popular bakery chain, 85°C Bakery Café, as well as a number of restaurants and services.
The most recent additions to the center include Konokuniya USA, a bookstore that specializes in a wide variety of books, magazines and stationery from Japan. The bookstore opened in August. Other popular specialty concepts at The Crescent include Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, which offers sushi and other Japanese dishes rotated to diners’ booths on a conveyor belt.
“The Crescent’s location and access from two major thoroughfares, as well as its unique tenant mix, make it a true shopping destination for the trade area,” Morrison said, noting that the leasing team is now representing several well-located available spaces, with the largest incorporating 7,464 square feet in a freestanding building, and the smallest being a 750-square-foot inline shop space. “The center’s location allows the tenant mix to serve North Central Austin, as well as a large daytime population in businesses and institutions such as the ACC Highland Campus.”
