PLANO—Spaces, a full-service creative working environment founded in Amsterdam, has selected mixed-use landmark West Plano Village for its newest location. Spaces, originated in Amsterdam, leased 31,152 square feet of office space in a two-story configuration in West Plano Village, located at the northeast corner of Dallas North Tollway and Parker Road.
Spaces in West Plano Village, set to open in late summer 2019, is designed to cultivate a community of members who are thinkers and achievers with workspaces to suit every need and on-site staff to attend to administrative details. Spaces offers flexible co-working space with meeting rooms, amenities and administrative support and aims to foster community and collaboration among its clients by building meeting rooms and shared space for people to work together.
Fults Commercial and Weitzman handled negotiations for the landlord. CBRE represented Spaces in the lease negotiations.
West Plano Village incorporates 90,000 square feet of retail space and 60,000 square feet of second-floor office space fronting the Tollway and Parker Road, as well as 264 upscale apartments in a four-story configuration from leading residential developer Amli Residential.
“A mixed-use environment is well suited for a coworking concept like Spaces,” said David Palmer, executive vice president of development for Weitzman. “Spaces’ first-story space is located in the midst of the restaurants at the center of the project, adding an urban synergy. West Plano Village offers a walkable, intimate setting where all of the uses, from retail to office to residential, are steps away from each other, and the configuration of the buildings is such that all of the uses are easily visible. We also see ourselves as a part of the West Plano community, and we strive to have all of the uses not only aligned with each other, but with the surrounding neighborhood.”
West Plano Village is designed as a landmark address that matches the dynamic qualities of the high-profile location along the Tollway’s “Platinum Corridor”. The anchor for the project’s retail space, eatZi’s Market & Bakery, offers chef-crafted breads and foods and prepared meals to go, and is well known for its flagship location in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas. The 10,000-square-foot eatZi's location joins entertainment anchor Cinemark West Plano and XD Theater, one of the most successful multiple-screen cinemas in the nation.
Amenities for the office space at West Plano Village include the popular restaurants that call the project home. These include renowned concepts such as Kona Grill, Princi Italia, Mi Dia From Scratch, and more. West Plano Village also is home to the only area location for renowned salon Jose Eber, as well as Nasr Bros Jewelers, Charles Schwab, AT&T flagship and Pinkberry.
West Plano Village offers a contemporary, pedestrian-friendly design that features a main plaza with fountains and landscaping that creates a gathering space at the heart of the project’s retail and office buildings.
Weitzman leases and manages the retail and office space at West Plano Village.
