DALLAS—Michael Meyers, a real estate operations professional with 25 years of experience, has been promoted to executive vice president and director of employee development with Weitzman, one of the largest retail-focused commercial real estate services firms based in Texas.
In this new role, Meyers is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive program to train, mentor and grow Weitzman’s team members in its offices in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. He will collaborate with company leadership to enhance available tools and resources and conceptualize and implement new initiatives to ensure the company maintains a strategic and streamlined approach to the development of employees and associates across the state.
“Our people are our most important asset, and their continued growth is key to their success and our ability to better serve our customers,” Weitzman Chief Operating Officer Weldon Simons said in announcing the promotion.
Meyers joined Weitzman in 1997 and also handles recruiting efforts for the D-FW brokerage operation, as well as the overall coordination of the brokerage department, among other operational duties.
Meyers is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania.
