AUSTIN—DoubleTake ATX a curated resale and gift shop benefiting the Center for Child Protection children’s advocacy center, has leased the landmark Light Bulb Shop building, a 2,250-square-foot retail building located at 6318 Burnet Road.

DoubleTake ATX preserved the iconic Light Bulb Shop sign, which shows a man with a ‘light-bulb’ moment over his head. Sales at DoubleTake ATX benefit the Center for Child Protection, the first stop for children in Travis County who are suspected victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse and for children who have witnessed a violent crim. The child-friendly specially equipped facility is where children go for recorded forensic interviews, medical exams, counseling and intervening. All services are provided to children and their protective caregivers at no charge.
