LEWISVILLE—Weitzman is pre-leasing 20,000 square feet of street-level retail space at the base on Jefferson Castle Hills, a planned upscale multi-family development at Castle Hills Marketplace. The project is located at the southwest corner of the regional intersection of SH-121 and Josey Lane.
Michelle Caplan and Maggie Hansen with Weitzman are directing the leasing for the new retail space.
Completion of the new phase of retail space is set for February 2025, with the first of the apartment units available for lease by summer 2025.
Weitzman formed a joint venture with leading apartment builder JPI to develop the mixed-use residential-and-retail project, an expansion of the existing Castle Hills Marketplace. Castle Hills Marketplace, anchored by a 128,000-square foot Kroger Marketplace store, includes a lineup of concepts like Chili’s, Pei Wei, Freebirds, Orangetheory Fitness, Supercuts, Valvoline, Layne’s Chicken, Desi Chowrastha Indian restaurant and several others.
David Palmer, executive vice president with Weitzman, is directing the development of the retail project. He noted that the retail will serve approximately 1,200 residents, who also will be in walking distance to Castle Hill Marketplace’s grocer and other tenants.
The new phase is peripheral to The Realm at Castle Hills, a 324-acre mixed-use community that includes office, residential and retail space.
The retail space being pre-leased by Weitzman is at the base of two residential buildings, with the retail components totaling 8,000 square feet and 12,000 square feet, respectively.
