HOUSTON-- Weitzman has been selected as leasing agent for the retail space in The Ivy Lofts, a 26-story mixed-use tower to be developed on a city block at the southwest corner of Leeland Street and with Live Oak Street in Houston’s vibrant EaDo (east downtown) district.
Randy Hopper and Edward Heap with Weitzman are handling the retail leasing at the project.
The Ivy Lofts is a project of Novel Creative Development LLC and is designed to feature 448 condominiums. Prices will start at less than $160,000.
The Ivy Lofts will offer 14,228 square feet of retail space at street level. The site is in proximity to Houston’s strongest office market, which contains 40 percent of the metro’s Class A office space, as well as venues like BBVA Compass Stadium, home to the Houston Dynamos. METRORail light rail services the district via the EaDo/Stadium Station and the Leeland/Third Ware station.
Weitzman is marketing the EaDo retail space to unique, casual restaurants, as well as small-shop retailers and services.
The Ivy Lofts’ micro-condo living concept is new to Houston. The development features convertible floor plans that optimize square footage to create adaptable, flexible living spaces and is located minutes from the University of Houston, the Medical Center and the Central Business District.
The Ivy Lofts’ street-level retail and restaurant space is designed to be a prominent, trendy locale for the EaDo district, a neighborhood located east of downtown, north of I-45 between the George R. Brown Convention Center and the East End district.
